A Macro jot?
I like to think of it as a making the most of the small amount of whatever you’ve been given. I carry out research in studying the Sun and its effects on Earth. I teach astrophysics and science at New Mexico State University. Relative to the total of any of these topics, my work is but a jot; but I like to make it a big jot.
My background is pretty standard. Born and raised during the ‘troubles’ in Northern Ireland I hold British and Irish citizenship. After completing my Masters and PhD in Queen’s University Belfast I moved east and west across the Atlantic several times; To NASA, then Trinity College Dublin and now at New Mexico State University. I now live a stone’s throw from Clyde Tombaugh’s house and work at his desk.
